Social Work & Brokerage
Do you want to get involved?
Personalisation is overloaded by bureaucracy and complexity; systems need to be simple to use for people, families and professionals.
We are currently working to:
- Rescript social work - get back to basics and free professionals from bureaucracy
- Tap into community - connect people to existing community organisations and networks
- Strengthen peer support - give people access to the most important support possible
- Use services properly - use the energy and skill of service providers who want to personalise support
- Give people information - ensure people have the tools they need to make their own decisions

We have already made significant progress in taking these ideas forward in Yorkshire & Humber with the support of the regional Joint Improvement Programme. If you want to get involved, share learning or get support then please contact us.
If you want to find out more about these ideas then please explore our extensive library of resources. Check out Architecture for Personalisation which makes the detailed case for community-based support. Or examine our latest work to simplify Resource Allocation Systems.
The Social Work & Brokerage Project is led by Kate Fulton, contact her to find out more.
