Neil Francis

Neil is an experienced director who has held several varied roles over the last 14 years: Managing Director of Company Net for 10 years - one of Scotland first internet development companies, Chairman of Inclusion Glasgow. Director of Fischy Music - a charity promoting emotional, social and spiritual health and wellbeing in children through songs. Director of The Together Partnership - a charity that acts as a catalyst for entrepreneurship by linking businesses in Rwanda and Scotland and Non-Executive Director of WorkCast - one of the UK’s leading webcasting and managed webinar providers.

Neil was the Managing Director of Company Net from 1996 until 2007 until he had a stroke caused by a clot in his leg. Because of the cognitive effects caused by the stoke Neil had to resign as MD. However overtime, this allowed Neil to get more involved with a number of companies and charities either by becoming a director , mentoring/coaching senior executives or working on specific projects. The stroke also gave him a great insight on managing change - both professionally and personally - and he is happy to share his experience of going through that with others who have had a significant change in their lives

Neil has a passion for helping start ups/young growing companies grow, internet and creative companies and charities. He has a particular interest in working with charities in helping them to become more commercial in their approach without sacrificing their values.

His current roles include Director of Company Net, Non-Executive Director of WorkCast, Director of The Together Partnership and a caddie at North Berwick West Golf club!! It is through caddying, a pastime he started after the stroke to help his mental and physical recovery, that he has learnt new insights into leadership.

Neil lives in Scotland and is married with three children, three cats and a daft lovely golden retriever.
