Thomas manages a supported living service for people with intellectual disabilities. He has worked in Social Care for 12 years, starting as a support worker and enabler with both adults and children with additional needs before moving into care management at the local authority, and then into his present management role in the community and voluntary sector.
A keen reader, writer and thinker on social, political and organizational matters, Thomas is keen to gain a deeper understanding of our present socio-economic and ecological predicaments; in particular to harness the ‘immense generative power of the commons’ and its potential to conceptualise and build a better future.
He lives in South Devon with his wife and two children, enjoys running and also wild swimming in the summer months.
Thomas sometimes blogs on the psyCommons, an addition to the commons of air, seas, seeds, forests and rivers.
