Individual Budget

An individual budget is one approach to enabling people to take more control of their own support - by giving people knowledge of what they are entitled to.

If people know what they are entitled to as a budget then they can plan how to get support in a more creative and empowering way. This was the idea that was at the heart of what has now become known as the Individual or Personal Budget.
